'Un Camino Hacia el Destino' to Premiere Soon on Univision
On Feb. 23, Univision will premiere its latest telenovela, called "Un camino hacia el destino," starring singer and actress Paulina Goto and Horacio Pancheri.
According to People en Español, the telenovela, a remake of the 2003 telenovela "La Hija del Jardinero," was produced by Nathalie Lartilleux for Televisa.
The story follows the relationship between Luisa Fernanda (Goto) and Carlos (Pancheri). Luisa is a gifted violin player who is in the dark about her biological father Luis Montero, a wealthy man who left her mother, Amelia, while she was pregnant with Luisa.
Amelia falls in love and marries Pedro, the gardener, who decides to raise Luisa as his own. A turn of events leads Luisa, now 18 years old, to get hit by a car, driven by none other than her biological father. Luisa decides to sue her rich father for damages, and he begins to make life hard for her, unaware of their biological relationship.
Eventually, Luisa falls in love with Carlos, Luis' stepson, and the two must overcome various obstacles to be together.
Also starring in the telenovela are Jorge Aravena ("Mi Corazón es Tuyo"), Lisette Morelos, Manuel Landeta ("La impostora"), René Strickler, Rocío Banquells ("Cuidado con el Angel"), Gustavo Rojo ("Triunfo del amor"), Ana Patricia Rojo ("María la del barrio," "Esmeralda"), Patricia Reyes Spíndola ("Fear the Walking Dead," "Mujeres Asesinas"), Harry Geithner and Agustín Arana ("Amores con trampa").
Over the last two weeks, Aravena and Goto have shared several promotional and set photos on their social media accounts.
The official telenovela Instagram account also features plenty of photos and clips from the episodes that have already aired in Mexico. The telenovela premiered there on Jan. 25.

When asked about what it is like to be a part of the telenovela, Goto had nothing but positive things to say.
"I have loved it. Everyday I fall more in love with Luisa Fernanda." she told Televisa. "I think it has all the ingredients so that people will like it. It's fun. It has its melodramatic story and romance."
