"Minecraft" developers were testing updates for the PS4 and PS3 in January to fix bugs within the game after receiving complaints from avid players. The developers finally confirmed that this has been set for downloading in a Twitter post on Feb. 10.
4J Studios has released update 1.23 for the PlayStation consoles and the PS Vita Wednesday. However, the developers advised that the roll out worldwide may take a while to process.
The update should fix over 70 game glitches, including the following common issues:

- Raw fish and salmon's texture similarities in the Natural Texture Pack
- Wolf's default collar color change
- Malfunctioning map, unless "View Hand" is activated
- Map changing shades when checking for north or south direction
- Oversized skulls in the inventory
- Bed texture changes for the top and under sides
- Intermittent game crash when beds are placed on snow
- Intermittent game crash after blocks are destroyed, while exploring Superflat World or Air and TNT Layers
- Villagers not harvesting crops at Farmlands
Bugs also appeared while players were on Adventure mode, and the issues in connection with the "Body Guard" and "Spawn Egg" were fixed in the latest update. Bottle o' Enchanting, Nether Star and Enchanted Golden Apple quantity should no longer be buggy after the update. The fix also addressed the potion's strength indicator when the player chooses "Quick Select."
A complete and extensive list of the fixes was posted on the Minecraft forum.
Meanwhile, Xbox Wire confirmed that "Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition" is set for an Overworld update at the end of February. The developers promised a host of new features, including components like comparators, dispensers, droppers, hoppers, repeaters and trapped chests. Gamers are also getting additional "Minecraft" types that will allow them to create and invent more things.
The witches' cauldrons is set to receive new features, like additional colors for the armor dye and random potions for retrieval at swamp explorations. Loots will soon be displayed at the player's "Minecraft" house with new item frames and mounts when the updates are released.
However, aside from these in-game add-ons, the "Windows 10 Edition Beta" will also allow players to import and export maps to their system. This will make it easier for them to share their "Minecraft" creations with their playing buddies.
"Minecraft" is available at the Windows Store, iOs App Store, Google Play and Amazon.
