'WWE 2k16' PC Problems Plague Gamers; Loading Screen Issue Could Have a Solution
After more than four months of waiting, PC gamers can now play "WWE 2K16" after it was released for Windows on Friday, Mar. 11. The game was first released for PlayStation and Xbox consoles last October, with Stone Cold Steve Austin on the cover.
"WWE 2K16" was developed by Yuke's and Visual Concepts and it's the second game from the "WWE 2K" franchise to be released following last year's "WWE 2K15." Despite the hype, several problems have already been reported hours after the launch.
One of the problems is some users can't get past the loading screen and are stuck staring at Steve Austin. Nevertheless, one user was able to fix the problem immediately and posted it on Reddit.
"For those stuck on the Stone Cold Steve Austin splash screen when they hit play on steam, try browsing to the games install directory and running the game as an administrator," the user said. Other reported problems include frequent crashing of the game and frame rate dropping.
System Requirements
The minimum requirement for "WWE 2K16" on PC is a 64-bit, Windows Vista SP2 operating system with a 4 GB Memory RAM. The processor should not be later than an Intel i3-2105 or a Phenom II X2 550. As for the graphics processing unit, GeForce GTX 460 or the Radeon HD 5870 can run the game with the latest version of DirectX.
A 44GB available space and a compatible sound card is also needed. But to enjoy the "WWE 2K16" more, the recommended processors are the Intel Core i5-3550 and AMD FX 8150, while the recommended GPU is a GeForce GTX 660 or Radeon HD 7850.
Additional Details
"WWE 2K16" will have more than 120 playable characters, with the full game having two playable versions of Arnold Schwarzenegger from the "Terminator" movies. The DLC content will also be free, as advertised by former WWE champion and avid video gamer, Seth Rollins.
