Texas police have identified the body of a young girl found near the Sam Houston Parkway as that of Adriana Coronado.

The 13-year-old girl had been the subject of an Amber Alert and intense search ever since her father's burned remains were found nearly a week ago.

Body Badly Decomposed

She was found by a gardener, and investigators indicate the state of decomposition to her body made it necessary for her to be identified through fingerprints by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

Adriana was last seen on March 13, in the Houston suburb of Katy. Her father's body was discovered that same day nearly 60 miles north of there in Walker County. Caesar Vladimir Coronado's pickup truck was found just to the South in Montgomery County.

Walker County Sheriff Clint McRae has indicated police are interested in speaking with a man seen in a surveillance video running from the burning pickup in an industrial park in Conroe.

Man Seen in Footage Running From the Scene

The video also captures a Ford F-150 driving through the shot until it is parked just off camera. Shortly after that, there appears to be a small explosion as a man runs away. In another video also released by authorities, the man jogs down a nearby alley and into a parking lot.

McRae later told reporters he thinks identifying and finding the man may be "crucial in solving this case."

That may prove easier said than done given the dark nature of the video, which was taken after 10 p.m., and the fact the man's face is not captured in any of the footage.

"It's going to take an individual who is familiar with and knows this potential suspect" McRae added of learning the man's identity. Authorities added they have no motive in the case.
