Jesus Guadalupe Medrano Alvarado, an 18-year-old from Tamaulipas, Mexico, attacked and killed both his mother and grandmother with a knife because he said the devil told him to do so.

According to multiple Mexican news reports, Alvarado's father, Jamie Medrano Gutierrez, came home on May 31 to find the teen gouging his own mother's eyes out.

The brutal scene revealed that both women had been stabbed repeatedly, had their eyes gouged out and the grandmother had her ears missing.

The father would have been another victim but he fought off his son and police arrived just in time to apprehend him.

When questioned by the police on why he would commit such a horrific act, the teenager responded with a very unexpected reason and said his godfather ordered him to do it.

"My godfather is the devil. The devil told me to take out the eyes of my mother and grandmother," he replied.

Alvarado remains in police custody.
