Rap legend Snoop Dogg might not want to quit his day job, at least in not pursuit of becoming a major league hurler.

The "Drop It Like It's Hot" rapper recently took the mound at Petco Park to throw out the ceremonial first pitch before the San Diego Padres hosted the Atlanta Braves in a display that will be eternalized for all the wrong reasons.

Dressed in his "Coach Snoop" jersey, the rapper's pitch was so errant it sailed so far out of the strike zone that it nearly beaned a cameraman and an unsuspecting female near the backstop.

Snoops's wild pitch immediately sparked comparisons to the even more errant toss rap star 50 Cent threw out two years ago during a visit to Citi Field for a Mets game.

It's the season of Snoop, who is currently starring in a new documentary on AOL where he serves coach and mentor to a group of young football stars.

The documentary profiles coaches and players alike from the California based youth league. In addition, the series highlights the life lessons the players learn from episode to episode and game to game.

In one recent episode, the rapper reflects on growing up without a dad and how he now understands the positive role coaches can come to play in their lives of their young players.

That episode also features assistant coach Dante Gamble and his mentoring relationship with young player Roosevelt Kahn, who happens to be from the coach's old, gang-riddled neighborhood.

The 44-year-old rapper is also known for such hits as "Gin and Juice," "Who Am I" (What's My Name), "California Gurls," "Nuthin but a G Thang," "Murder Was The Case."
