While Mexico finished in the bottom 70 in the Rio 2016 medal tracker, the country played better at the London 2012 Games placing 39 in the London 2012 Olympics medal table.

South Korea was number five in the London 2012 games and Germany took its place in Rio 2016. The host country, Brazil, came in at number 15, with a total of 14 medals, and four of them gold.
