Samsung's Galaxy S series is known as the leader of Android's high-end market segment. The South Korean tech giant is now ready with its new version - the S8. The release date has yet to be confirmed, but the device is expected to come in February or March next year.

Like each new Galaxy model, Samsung has always something in its pocket to surprise customers. According to Reuters, this new version is no exception: the S8 is expected to come up with an all-new AI Digital Assistant.

The company has acquired Viv, Which has played a huge role in the development of Apple's Siri. Samsung is preparing to utilize Viv's expertise in developing Artificial Intelligence for its devices. Asia's largest phonemaker pales in comparison on AI development to US tech giant Apple and Microsoft.

What else does the Galaxy S8 has?

Rumors are spreading on various media outlets regarding the phone before its launching.

If rumors are to be believed, the Galaxy S8 is expected to have a bezel-less 4K display with 860ppi - one can only expect how gorgeous that's going to be. The flagship also features an optical fingerprint scanner and an all-new slick design.

In terms of camera, the high-end device might sport dual-lens camera technology, which is speculated to be better than its rivals iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus.

The S series has long featured USB 2.0 in most of its models but this is set to change with the latest variant. In terms of connectivity, the S8 is expected to feature USB-Type C.

Samsung is also rumored to axe both the home button and fingerprint scanner to give the S8 a 90% display area ratio. Moreover, even though the S7 has extremely good performance, Samsung still plans to upgrade its Snapdragon 820 with Exynos.

Prices for the S8 have yet to be confirmed but it might come in the region of GBP 599.
