Apple sells refurbished iPhones on their online store
For the second time is years Apple started selling iPhones in its online store, the highlights are the discounted prices. The phones have been selling through its US online store since Tuesday with up to 15 percent off compared to new models.
The models that are up for sale are a listed refurbished rose gold 64GB iPhone 6S Plus with the cost of $589 dollars, and the silver 16GB iPhone 6S Plus for $529 dollars as stated by The Verge.
The phones are unlocked and don't include a SIM card, just like new iPhones they come along with a one year warranty, a new outer shell and a new battery. Apple has already been selling refurbished iPads, Macs, Mac Books, and other accessories. But this is the second time the company is selling mobile phones on their online store, previously they sold refurbished mobile phone is 2007.
The highlights are that the users who buy these can save up to $100 dollars, the iPhone that are up for sale on the website are tested by Apple with a brand new battery and outer shell.
There is no news about the refurbished iPhones sold in other countries like UK, Singapore or Hongkong. As of now they are sold only at the US online stores as reported by NDTV.
Refurbished products are those which are returned by a customer due to product dissatisfaction or manufacturing flaw, these products might have landed up from Apple's 14 day return policy.
The stock of these refurbished iPhone might not last that long, due to the discount is appears that they are moving out fast from the store. The stock could rise and fall depending on the amount of iPhones Apple is able to retrieve.
