NBA Trade Rumors: Five players who might change teams in 2016-2017 season
With the new NBA season in full swing, teams are now bracing themselves to spend massive amounts of money to land the players they want.
Here is a list one of the players who might be traded this season.
Kevin Love is no journeyman - he spent six years of his professional career with the Minnesota Timberwolves before being traded to the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2014. His association with the Cavs brought him the 2016 NBA Championships, in which he played a key role in turning around a 3-1 finals series deficit in Game 7 against last season's champions Golden State Warriors. Yet, with the likes of Sacramento Kings, Philadelphia 76ers, and Boston Celtics monitoring Love, ending his connection with the Cavs remain a strong possibility, especially now that he's at the peak of his career. Love's departure - if it does happen, may not cause severe damage to the Cavs, but his absence is certainly something the team would reckon.
Nerlens Noel is certainly among the young talents to watch out for. His four seasons with the Philadelphia 76ers may have been initially blighted by a knee injury, but the fact that he's just 22 years old means that his best years are still ahead of him. With that, Noel's free agency in 2017 - reported by iTech Post, is certainly one to watch out for. Boston Celtics is reportedly among the interested parties for his services - they're reportedly willing to trade Marcus Smart for him as part of a potential deal.
Rudy Gay may have opted to stay with the Sacramento Kings, but lingering interest from the Portland Trail Blazers puts his position in doubt. Reports say that Gay may choose to stay with the Kings this season. However, with the Blazers' Allen Crabbe reportedly taking on the Kings' interest towards him, a trade involving Gay to cannot be ruled out just yet.
Cousins has only one season left in his contract with Sacramento Kings, which is why rumors on his sale are rife. According to the Christian Post, it's highly possible for Cousins to depart for another team - unless the Kings do more to make him stay.
