MTV's "Jersey Shore" star Deena Nicole Cortese got engaged to her long-time boyfriend, Christopher Buckner. And that came as a blow to all lover fans of the couple.

It all started to happen when Chris organised a weekend pull off from work for her girl on the occasion of their 5th anniversary. He planned it to a beach resort in Mexico, where he surprised Deena with a strikingly gorgeous "engagement ring," ET Online has reported.

And since Deena has not been able to hide her extreme happiness for this unexpected gesture and proposal. She felt spellbound as she managed to put her emotions into words on Instagram, "I always knew I would spend the rest of my life with Christopher .. But last night while we were walking on the Beach in Mexico he made it official!! We're engaged!!!!! @cbuckner_" followed by a collage of pictures flaunting her handsome man, sparkling champagne and the striking diamond, E! News has reported.

Deena's happiness knew no bounds, which can be clearly witnessed from the amount of pictures and words she posted on the social media after her celebrations. She added:

"I felt like the other pictures didn't show how beautiful the ring was.. The pic on the left was me a little after he proposed after I was finished happy sobbing lol Christopher did such an amazing job picking me out the perfect ring .. It fits my little hand perfectly .. This still all doesn't feel real!!! I love you @cbuckner_ this weekend has been so amazing so far ❤"

Deena missed her family and friends and could not wait any longer to show them the ring and share the news in personal. At this moment she missed her dad the most, who died in June 2016. To honor this moment she wrote, "I can't believe this is all real .."
