New Year is just around the corner and it's only a matter of time before some of the favorite companies will come out with new smartphones, which is why there are so many rumors spreading about the purported release of high-end devices such as Galaxy S8 and the LG G6.

According to a new report, the LG G6 is not only going to be water resistant but also going to feature wireless charging. Both of these features were introduced in Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge for almost a year now.

LG is expected to make some major changes to the LG G6. The upcoming New Year flagship is expected to drop the modular functionality, which the company had introduced in their earlier variants LG G5. The idea is still not taken off, but the company will decide on this issue.

LG has retained the removable battery on its flagship smartphone, even though Samsung dumped them with the Galaxy S6 a couple of years back. The company is expected to jump on the bandwagon with the LG G6 as the new handset needs to be sealed completely to make sure its waterproof, and then it will support wireless charging.

Samsung took a lot of efforts to work with the removable battery, but the company has managed to stand with all the criticism, and now, fans are used to the new reality. With this, LG also has to face some same circumstances this time.

Some speculations also suggest that the LG G6 will come up with some brilliant innovations including eye sensing technology, and more health related sensors. The LG G6 looks to give consumers what they want, and company is not lacking behind in providing a single technology to make this new flagship to be the best smartphone of 2017.
