X Factor's Honey G signed to Simon Cowell's record label - even BEFORE the winner's announcement
The announcement made by X Factor quarter finalist Honey G on Twitter that she has signed a contract by SYCO reaped both favor and criticism to fans.
Hours before the grand final show, Honey G, whose real name is Anna Georgette Gilford shared the news on her Twitter page "I am ecstatic to announce I have been signed by SYCO, Simon Cowell's record label and will be releasing my first single on 23rd December," Mirror News reported.
Honey G was voted out in the quarter finals of the X Factor and she confirmed what she declared on Twitter during last night when she returned to perform saying "I want to plug my new single that's coming out 23 December, called The Honey G Show.
"Everyone who's locked in, we're going to rip it up, tear it up - this is the Honey G official takeover!"
Fans expressed on Twitter what they felt regarding her announcement. Some gave positive comments while the others not.
There are few who congratulated her, others expressed excitement and other even gave prediction that Honey G would take the number one spot in Christmas.
But not everyone agree. Some expressed obvious disappointment with Honey G and with the show. Here are some examples of fans which were not happy with the news:
"Well I was enjoying X Factor till Honey G made a comeback saying she has a single coming out this month. We are all doomed #ruinedmynight."
"Honey G signed to Simon Cowell's record label before the winner what an absolute joke the X Factor #XFactor."
Some fans felt that the 35 year-old rapper was stealing the victory and undermining public votes. Since fans were used that contract with SYCO are only rewarded to the grand winner. Its either Saara Aalto or Matt Terry will be the winner.
According to OK! Magazine, Another favor given to Honey G was that no other contestant has been allowed ever since to appear in the episode where she was already voted out and even advertised her album when Matt and Saara are still fighting for the win.
But SYCO seemed not bothered by the negative comments their move on giving a contract with the one who did not get the grand win.
We will just wait what may result from this.
