WWE Monday Night Raw December 12 Results: 5 Biggest Takeaways From the Latest Episode
Another brand spanking episode for the franchise, WWE is celebrating their 7,000 hours of original videos and footage gathered from WCW, ECW and WWE. As always, the episode always has something for the fans.
This night marks the 478th consecutive day that the World Tag Team Champions New Day has held their title. They would break the previous record of 477 days if they win the Triple Threat Tag Team match that General Manager Mick Foley (aka Mankind) has set up for them. It was a making of another exciting and thrilling bout.
According to Heavy, The New Day's team of Big E Langston and Kofi Kingston went up against Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson and Sheamus and Cesaro. At the end of the fight, they couldn't have written the script any better. Sheamus hits Anderson with a Brogue kick, and out of nowhere Kingston delivers a 'Trouble in Paradise' to Sheamus. Cesaro attempts to save Sheamus from being pinned, but Big E held his foot thus preventing him from breaking the three count. The New Day, as always, found a way and retained their belts.
In another match, Braun Strowman (aka 'The Mountain of a Man') defeated Curtis Axel in a dominating fashion. The 7-foot, 300-pound man easily dispatched of Axel in a one-sided match. Former Cruiserweight Champion Brian Kendrick defeated his challenger in TJ Perkins. The return of the Cruiserweights might be the cherry on top the Raw as these superstars fly in and out across the ring like birds, WWE reports. Bayley and Alicia Fox's feud, with Alicia accusing Bayley of hitting on her man, came to a close as Bayley defeated Alicia via three count.
Last but not the least, the 'Underdog from the Underground' Sami Zayn lost in a tune up match with Jinder Mahal. Zayn, wanting a match with Strowman, has been the hot topic of the week as GM Mick Foley does not think that Sami could win over Strowman. Strowman almost destroyed Zayn on last week's episode of Monday Night Raw.
