Haters gonna hate but Taylor Swift managed to captivate the music industry once again with her collaboration with Zayn Malik on a soundtrack of film "Fifty Shades Darker" that was titled "I don't wanna live forever." The two has never been more sultry.

The world was not expecting that at all, especially for the likes of Taylor and Zayn to jump up and add more heat to the S&M scenes of Christian Grey (Jamie Dornan) and Anastasia Steele (Dakota Johson). Unsurprisingly, with catchy ballads, "I don't wanna live forever" dominated music charts within hours of release.

It remains a mystery to the fans how the two music talents came to work with the song. As Zayn revealed on Elvis Duran and the Morning Show that it was because of his girlfriend, Gigi Hadid.

Although Zayn and Taylor might have known each other for awhile considering that the latter allegedly dated fellow One Direction member, Harry Styles, the collaboration is all thanks to the supermodel.

"The interesting thing was she’s actually friends with Gi, so she already reached out because Jack (Producer Jack Antonoff) had just played her the song anyway,” Malik started. “She mentioned to me that she liked the song so I already kind of knew in the back of my head that she liked it so I asked her if she wanted to be on it and she was cool with it.”

The phenomenal song was written by Jack Antoff, and Gigi reportedly talked with Jack's girlfriend, Lena Dunham, in order to make the collaboration happen. A source of Heat revealed: "Gigi would do anything for Zayn, including putting in a word with her famous friends. She thinks he's the most talented musician on the planet."

Rumor rangers, however, cannot help but put color to Gigi's gesture as the supermodel was alleged to be tinkering her way into saving Zayn's career. The "I don't wanna live forever" serves to be the first number one single of the singer since "Pillowtalk" in February.

According to another insider of the news outlet, Gigi knew that Taylor would be lined up for "Fifty Shades Darker" soundtracks but Gig begged her friend to include Zayn.

"Taylor loves Gigi, she's one of her closest friends and she'd do anything for her. Taylor could have done this with anyone - it was a sure-fire hit - but she did it with Zayn for Gigi."

"Fifty Shades Darker" will warm theaters on Valentine's Day. Stay tuned for more exciting updates!
