'Narcos' Season 3 Update: New characters to take lead after Escobar’s death
Netflix "Narcos" seasons 1 and 2 surely take everyone away for an adventure of Pablo Escobar's life. The very interesting and seemingly violent journey of Pablo Escobar from merely a smuggler to a drug kingpin ended with him being dead. This left the show Narcos without a character to focus on but fans shouldn't be wary since another cartel will be on the verge of investigation from the DEA.
According to Ecumenical News, after the departure of Wagner Moura, playing Escobar, new faces will pick the pace up and the series will focus on the Cali Cartel, who helped in destroying Medellin cartel. The new characters involve Andrea Londo, as Maria, a Colombian beauty queen, followed by Nicholas Gonzales, the newest DEA agent who will help Javier Pena in his task to infiltrate the cartel. Michael Stahl - David will be playing Chris Feistl and Matt Whelan as Daniel Van Ness to team up in tracking the movements in Columbia.
Meanwhile, Kerry Bishe is casted as Christina, a wife to a Columbian man who feared for her family's safety and went to seek help with the US embassy. She is believed to be important as she's involved in Cali Cartel's downfall.
ItechPost reported that Cali Cartel was essential in the dismemberment of the Medellin Cartel even though they were partners. It is highly speculated that they will not be imitating Pablo's mission but will focus on drug empire in Colombia.
The Cali Cartel is composed of Gilberto, Miguel, Pacho and Chepe who will be the focus on the third season of Narcos. It was further said that Chepe's identity will be tackled more as it is important in the twists that will involve the show.
