It turns out that 2016 was not a very good year for movies when compared to 2015. Despite the fact that there have been sequels and box office hits, the movie fans never experienced something extraordinary. Yet there are a few honorable mentions that kept the crowd interested.

As the year draws to an end it always begins with the most anticipated movies to arrive in 2017. The list is huge with more action, guns, superheros, comedy, horror and many more as per Nerdist.

Apart from all genres there is a list of 10 most anticipated movies in 2017. Opening with "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story," the film is releasing only next December but it is sure to be a box office hit.

Arriving earlier on April 17, is the "Fate of the Furious," there is certainly going to be lots of fast cars racing on the street, besides Vin Diesel can surely entertain his fans.

"The Mummy": For all the Tom Cruise fans this is one movie everybody is eagerly waiting for, the film is all set to release on June 9 with super realistic action.

"Spiderman Homecoming": When it comes to superheroes there is no doubt about it that Spiderman will surely be one of the best movies in 2017.

"Wonder Woman": Hitting the theaters on June 2, 'Wonder Woman' is all about wars. Gal Gadot is said to have given an incredible performance in the film.

"Kong Skull Island": King Kong has been very successful and Skull Island is about the origins of King Kong, the film is a complete adventure and action as reported by Kare 11.

"Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2": One of three Marvel movies that is dropping on May 5, 2017. The Guardians sequel is also one of the most awaited movies.

"Justice League": Probably one of the most anticipated movie of Ben Affleck but is has a long wait till November 17.

"Logan": If there is no X Men Huge Jackman fans are sure to see him with his incredible performance in Logan on March 3, 2017.

"Despicable Me 3": The previous three titles totaled around $2.7 billion at the box office and the third part is likely to cross over $3 billion on June 30, 2017.
