NVIDIA has always shown innovative skills in the creation of graphics cards. The new GPU from NVIDIA, GeForce GTX 1080 TI, has created tons of excitement in the tech market.
The company has announced the release of its upcoming GPU in January 2017, says NeuroGadget, during the CES (Consumer Electronic Show) event. The show will be organized for the technology and game enthusiasts. People from all over the tech industry will meet and discuss the current evolutions of technology, its prospects, and business aspects.
There is an obvious comparison between GTX Titan X and GeForce GTX 1080 Ti, and the latest graphics card is expected to be much better than the previous one. It will have a 10 GB video RAM.
There are a lot of speculations about the performance of the new graphics card. The specialty of GTX 1080 Ti is its GP102 GPU, while GTX Titan X has 28nm GM200-400 GPU. Compared with the 192 texture mapping units of GTX Titan X, GTX 1080 TI has 208 texture mappings units, reports University Herald.
Other specialties of GTX 1080 Ti are 3328 CUDA cores (3072 in GTX Titan X) and 160 render output units (the number is 96 in the case of GTX Titan X). Another advantage is the clock speed of 1503MHz with 10 teraflops HP. It also has an improved memory frequency (384 GB/s) which is greater than that of its predecessor. Overall, the all-new graphics card will surely yield a much better performance.
There is a buzz that in spite of so many advantages, the new graphics card will have a cheaper price tag. This update has created even more excitement among the gadget freaks. Now, buyers will have to wait until January to experience the new features of GeForce GTX 1080 Ti. Purportedly NVIDIA is also releasing another graphics card named GeForce GTX 1060 3GB.
