Apple assures the new desktop will be released soon
Apple CEO Tim Cook snubbed the rumors that Apple will no longer focus on developing new desktops due to the emergence of the portable market. The boss said new desktops will be coming soon.
As Techcrunch reported, Cook said that some friends in the media kept asking about the possibility of releasing new desktops. And Cook made it clear that the giant tech had new desktops on its roadmap so people don't have to worry about that.
Cook guaranteed the far better performance of desktop computers, which covers memory, storage, screen sizes, and more variety because those are really important and even crucial to others, in some cases.
He claims the current iMac is the best desktop Apple's ever produced and its 5K display is the world's best desktop display, as published on Macrumors.
Apple hasn't upgraded its desktop Mac for more than a year. The latest update of iMac was 433 days ago, the Mac Mini's latest upgrade was 795 days ago, while the last upgrade of Mac Pro was 1,097 days ago.
Regardless what you are thinking about the Mac at the moment, at least new machines will be coming and tech lovers have something to expect. At least, the upcoming desktop gives hopes to those who can't live without a desktop computer.
The most interesting topic is one of the questions on a message board asking what makes Apple different from other companies. In other words, what becomes Apple's biggest differentiator and what its employees can do to improve those efforts.
Cook responded by saying the people and the culture play an important role in Apple's innovative products. There will be no intellectual property and inventions without creative and great people and an environment.
Apple encourages its employees to voice their innovative ideas. That doesn't always end up in perfection, but it always produces impressive outcomes from time to time, such as the AirPods.
