Forty-five-year-old actor and former football player Terry Crews got candid about his porn addiction during an interview on a recent episode of "The Wendy Williams show." In a later interview with Sport Illustrated, the "Everybody Hates Chris" actor described the NFL as a cult.

On Wednesday, during his appearance on the Wendy Williams couch, Crews shockingly revealed that not only did he have a porn addiction, the obsession with pornography started before he was a teenager.

"I was addicted to pornography since I was 12 years old, he told Williams. "Let me tell you. My father was addicted to alcohol and my mother was addicted to religion. So what happens is you had an addictive household. OK? We weren't allowed to play sports, we weren't allowed to watch movies."

Crews later explained that his addiction began during the days without Internet, so he would look at his uncle's magazine to get his "fix."

His addiction became so consuming that he kept it from his wife Rebecca at one point and later cheated on her.

"You don't know how powerful you (women) are. Men get addicted to looking at pictures of you. That's how powerful a woman is. It's one of those things that took me away and it medicated me. But this is the problem. I never told anyone. I didn't tell my wife for years," he revealed.

One thing that Crews did not develop an addiction for was the NFL. The former NFL player voiced his opinion on the league to "Sports Illustrated" following the scandal surrounding a lawsuit accusing the NFL of illegally obtaining and administering controlled substances -- including narcotic painkillers -- to keep players on the field, CBS news reports. Crews explained that the NFL was a cult that was a addicting to many of its players.

He commented, "It's really like a cult. I'm going to say it. The NFL is a cult, because you've been looking at this motto and this logo for your whole life and you believe in it and you're like 'They wouldn't do anything to hurt me. They never would.' And, uh oh, maybe they would."

Despite his seemingly negative feelings towards the NFL and his troubling past, Crews is doing well. He currently stars in the FOX series "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" and was recently named the new host of "Who Wants To Be a Millionaire."
