Brad Pitt Is A 'Wonderful' Father To His Kids Despite Divorce, Says Angelina Jolie; ‘Maleficent’ Star Gets Emotional During Interview
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are divorcing but the actress insists that her ex-husband is a wonderful father to their six kids. The couple filed for a divorce in September 2016 due to irreconcilable differences.
According to PEOPLE, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie released a statement last month saying that a judge is finalizing their divorce. The couple has six children including Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, Knox and Vivienne.
Ever since the divorce filing, Angelina Jolie has kept herself out of the spotlight it was only until recently that she has opened up for the first time during an interview. Mail Online reports that the "Maleficent" actress was emotional while being interviewed in Good Morning America this week but said that Brad Pitt is a wonderful father to their kids.
Angelina Jolie adds that they will always be a family regardless of her divorce with Brad Pitt. The former couple will be doing their best to make their family healthier and stronger after the ongoing ordeal.
Prior to the divorce issue, Brad Pitt was involved in some sort of incident last year that led to the intervention of Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services. The investigation cleared the actor and no charges were filed so he was able to keep seeing his children with Angelina Jolie.
During the interview, Angelina Jolie was promoting her new film "First They Killed My Father" for which she is also the director. The film is about the home country of her son Maddox and the horrors it experienced under the regime of Pol Pot and the Khmer Rogue in Cambodia. The dictatorship was considered to be one of the worst in the world as mass genocides wiped out one-fourth of the population. Maddox worked hand in hand with Angelina Jolie and with Pax as well.
