Amazon Alexa Moto Mod Will Add Virtual Assistant In Any Moto Z Device
Moto Mod is one of the most unique and apparently the best feature of Lenovo's Moto Z series, which includes the power pack, wireless charging adaptor, and turbocharging connector. But the most interesting of the cluster is the Amazon's Alexa Moto Mod, which will include the virtual assistant into any Moto Z gadget.
According to The Verge, the Amazon's Director of Alexa Voice Service Jon Kirk made an announcement at the Mobile World Congress, that the company will be join force with Motorola to make a speaker Moto Mod that is basically transforms the phone into a convenient Amazon Echo.
It features a shining blue light that enlightens when Alexa is activated and a pyramidal base that serves as a desk stand. It also pairs with a companion application that shows search lists that are based on the voice inquiries.
Motorola said that later this year, Moto Z would increase its deeper integration with Alexa. Moto Z will respond to Alexa's wake word from the lock screen and show results in a companion application. Motorola set aside the opportunity to show the concept of Mods, or thoughts for Moto Mods that might make it into the market, Digital Trends reported
Motorola teased some concept Mods and the first concept is a Polaroid-like printer for Moto Z devices, releases photos on minimal sheets of paper. Additionally, Motorola also declared a gaming Mod that snaps onto the sides of Moto Z.
The Mod is accompanied with a built-in speaker, gaming controls, and some pre-stacked games, and with it on, it looks like a Nintendo Switch. To help spur the development of Mods to move forward, Motorola has collaborated with the manufacturers to plan the improvement platform.
It will keep on designing Mods itself, yet it will additionally co-design Mods with its partners and let approved third-parties make, sell, and market Mods entirely in an independent way. So far, the company seems to on track to deliver its assurance of releasing at least 12 Moto Mods per year as the company targets four deliveries in each quarter.
