Huawei Honor V9 Officially Launched in China; to be Release Internationally as Honor 8 Pro
The Huawei Honor V9 has been officially unveiled in China. For the fans of higher-end handsets, the new phablet is looking nicely stacked. Right now the Honor V9 has been launched in only China, and it might be released under the Honor 8 Pro moniker in international markets.
The Honor V9 is essentially the company's flagship and the device that is supposed to launch under the Honor 8 Pro name for the global market. The Huawei Honor V9 is a metal-clad smartphone which boasts two cameras on the back and comes with a rear-facing fingerprint scanner. Both physical keys of the phone are placed on the right-hand side of Honor V9, the power/lock key, and the volume rocker buttons are placed above it.
The Huawei Honor V9 sports a 5.7-inch QHD (2560 x 1440) display, with 4GB / 6GB of RAM and 64GB / 128GB of inbuilt storage. The device is powered by the 'Kirin 960' 64-bit octa-core SoC, which is the same processor that ships with the Huawei Mate 9. There are two 12-megapixel camera sensors (f/2.2 aperture) placed on the back of the smartphone, and as per Honor, they're capable of taking great images in low light, plus really nice images with bokeh effect, Android Headlines reported.
The company also says that these sensors come with improved black and white sensor, which lets in 3 times more light, and that really help with low light photography enormously. Honor also mentioned that Huawei Honor V9 is capable of taking 3D creative photos that you can use to make 3D prints. The device is having a 4,000mAh non-removable battery with fast charging feature. Android 7.0 Nougat comes pre-installed in the Honor V9, and on top of it there is Huawei's Emotion UI (EMUI) 5.0 skin.
According to GSM Arena, the Huawei Honor V9 comes in several variants, one 4GB RAM model, and other 6GB RAM variants. The 4GB RAM model ships with 64GB of native storage and costs 2,599 Yuan ($377). While the Honor V9 with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage is priced at 2,999 Yuan ($436). However, the most expensive model with 6GB of RAM and 128GB costs 3,499 Yuan ($508).
