'Alien: Covenant' Update: New Trailer Is Mysteriously Terrifying To Watch
t has been previously reported that the official trailer for the next upcoming "Alien" movie was supposed to be released tomorrow morning, but due to an unfortunate leak, 20th Century Fox has decided to move the timetable up and place out the next preview in its official form. So for anyone who has been eager to see the next "Alien: Covenant" footage, it is now available for viewing on YouTube.
According to Cinema Blend, despite it being a shame that 20th Century Fox was not able to follow their original schedule for the release of the latest trailer, fans have moved past that because the latest look at "Alien: Covenant" is purely intense. The opening of the trailer is pretty much similar to the five-minute prologue that was recently released last week, showing Katherine Waterston's Daniels and the crew of Covenant, the colony ship, having one last official gathering before they land on the planet that they are traveling to.
At first, the world looks like a paradise of some sort, but upon closer inspection, it appears in the video that was something off about this environment. There was wheat in the fields, yet there aren't any animals to be heard, but the crew will soon come across some particularly loud beasts in the next scenes.
Given the mixed feedback that "Prometheus" received among Alien fans in 2012, it is pretty understandable that some might be skeptical about "Alien: Covenant." The final product won't be seen for another couple months, but judging off with this new trailer, it looks like there won't be any shortage of frights and thrills.
According to Yahoo!, "Alien: Covenant's" cast includes Katherine Waterston, James Franco, Danny McBride, Demian Bichi, Billy Crudup, and Carmen Ejogo. Guy Pearce, Noomi Rapace, and Michael Fassbender will also be reprising their Prometheus characters, although, in addition to David, Fassbender will be playing a newer android model named Walter.
"Alien: Covenant' will hit the big screen on May 19, 2017. Until then, stay tuned for more upcoming updates
