'Lethal Weapon' News: Season 2 Officially Renewed; Episode 17 Plot Synopsis, Promo Clip Revealed
"Lethal Weapon" Season 1 will officially continue for season 2 on FOX Television Network. In addition to that, the official plot summary and the promo trailer clip of episode 17 "A Problem Like Maria" has been released.
"Lethal Weapon" Season 1 won't definitely be the last to air in the small screen. According to Variety, FOX Television Network has officially renewed the show by ordering 22 episodes for its sophomore season.
With that being said, FOX Entertainment network president David Madden stated, "Every week, it delivers a big, fun roller-coaster ride, but also remains touchingly human and genuinely emotional, and that's due to the chemistry that's developed not only between Damon Wayans and Clayne Crawford, but the entire cast. We want to thank our producing partners, Warner Bros., as well as Matt Miller, McG, Dan Lin and Jennifer Gwartz, who have done a fantastic job in crafting a series for which a second-season order is well deserved."
As for the official plot description of episode 17, Spoilers Guide notes, "Roger Murtaugh (Damon Wayans) and Martin Riggs (Clayne Crawford) go head-to-head with the cartel. Riggs and Murtaugh team up again with DEA Agent Karen Palmer (guest star Hilarie Burton), and together they gain inside knowledge of dangerous new cartel operations.
As Riggs' attachment to Palmer deepens, so do his impulsive actions, further worrying Captain Brooks Avery (Kevin Rahm) and Atty. Ronnie Delgado (guest star Tony Plana). In the meantime, Trish Murtaugh (Keesha Sharp) explores the potential of an amazing new career opportunity."
"Lethal Weapon" Season 1 episode 17 is titled as "A Problem Like Maria". The upcoming episode is scheduled to premiere on Wednesday, March 8, 2017, at 8:00 p.m. on FOX Television Network.
"Lethal Weapon" is an American buddy cop action comedy-drama television series that is based on the film series of the same name created by Shane Black.
