"Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders" Season 2 finally airs this Wednesday, March 8, 2017 with "Criminal Minds" star Kristen Vangsness to make a cameo appearance. Not only that, the official plot description for the premiere episode "Lost Souls" has been revealed by CBS Television Network.

"Criminal Minds" star Kristen Vangsness will officially be a part of "Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders" Season 2. According to WUSA 9, the 44-year-old American actress and writer has landed the guest character of Penelope Garcia. 

Penelope happens to be a tech geek who will help Russ 'Monty' Montgomery (Tyler James Williams) and Jack Garrett to solve a case.

As for the official plot synopsis of the premiere episode, Spoilers Guide notes, "Unit Chief Jack Garrett (Gary Sinise) and his international response team are called to Tanzania when a 23-member church group disappears." 

The end of "Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders" Season 1 certainly set the stage for it, introducing Jack Garrett's (Gary Sinise) wife Karen (Sherry Stringfield) as they sent their daughter off to college. 

The promo shows Jack telling his team that tourists are always a criminal's easiest target. In some other case, 219 Americans were targeted by criminals. The video also shows Jack assuring the parents of the missing Americans in Tanzania that they are doing everything they can to locate their children. The case takes an emotional turn when skilled military hero Matthew 'Matt' Simmons (Daniel Henney) wonders what the children's parents are going through. 

"Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders" Season 2 episode 1 is titled as "Lost Souls". The upcoming episode is scheduled to premiere on Wednesday, March 8, 2017, at 10:00 p.m. EST first and exclusive on CBS Television Network.
