The new-look Sacramento Kings are traveling to San Antonio with the hopes of snapping their five-game losing streak. Waiting for them at the AT&T Center is the high-powered San Antonio Spurs team that is currently looking forwards to their 50th win of the season.

However, according to CSN, San Antonio will be without star forwards Kawhi Leonard and LaMarcus Aldridge, who both will be resting. The team decided to rest their key players in order for them to be fresh and ready for upcoming key games.

The Spurs are also looking for their 18th consecutive 50-win season under legendary head coach Gregg Popovich, which dates back to the 1999-2000 season. It may be a different cast of players, but San Antonio is the model NBA franchise in one of the league's smallest NBA markets.

The Sacramento Kings are, yet again, on a lopsided season, currently at 25-38 and among the worst teams in the Western Conference. They have recently lost their franchise player in DeMarcus Cousins and are now fully focused on rebuilding for the future, acquiring young talents in exchange.

The Spurs, on the other hand, are in on their common place much like every season: currently 49-13, first place in the Southwest Division, and currently sitting comfortably at second place in the West. Unlike the King, the Spurs are looking to compete this coming post season and are hoping to secure the franchise's 6th NBA championship.

Matchup-wise, as per NBA.com, the Spurs have won eight straight games over the Kings, including a current 2-0 lead in the season series this year. San Antonio is currently lead the Kings 113-55 in all-time matchups.

"There's not really much we can do to make an excuse about it. You just have to get out there and physically battle them in order to get a W." a statement by Kings guard Arron Afflalo during a pre-game interview.
