'Ferrari' Update: Hugh Jackman Replaces Christian Bale As Titular Character
Fans recently saw the final performance of Hugh Jackman as the Wolverine or Logan, many of them surely do asks for more upcoming sequels or just even cameos. However, there is still no news regarding the attachment that Hugh Jackman will do for the franchise. But don't worry since Jackman is still going to be seen on theaters and is now set to do more than just sci-fi adventure in "Ferrari".
According to IGN, Jackman has been casted to play Enzo Ferrari in "Ferrari," the famous and luxurious sports car maker. Jackman replaced Christian Bale to play the motor racing driver in Michael Mann's biopic. The Wolverine actor did some put a change of tune in his genre with this upcoming biographical film.Further, there are reports indicating that Bale dropped due to his issues regarding putting on weight for the film in which Jackman should not be after seeing his tremendous work routine for the "Logan."
The Guardian also reported that Robert De Niro was also considered for the role in 2015 but there are no follow ups regarding the project. Meanwhile, Michael Mann's biopic will focus on the year of 1957 where it was one of the most difficult life for Ferrari to showcase success, failure and death. Also, it is noted that Ferrari is in deep competition with Maserati. Moreover, Noomi Rapace is casted to play the wife of Enzo Ferrari in the film. Rapace has been seen in different movies after her role in "The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo," and "Prometheus." The "Ferrari" will be the first film of Michael Mann after the 2015's Blackhat where it surely didn't make enough revenue for the studio.
The film will put Jackman into the spotlight after his role in "Logan" where the film was met with positive reviews and strong box office revenue upon its release. Jackman is set to play with Michelle Williams and Zac Efron for "The Greatest Showman." Stay tuned for more updates on "Ferrari."
