'Godzilla: King of Monsters’ Update: Another Actor Joins The Cast For Sequel
Legendary Pictures is having their own moment of series of films right now as they try and make a sequel for the famous monstrous beast. After the huge success, despite having brief time on screen, of Godzilla, the franchise is moving on with the second installment and it'll be more dramatic as one actor joins the cast. The studio is keeping up with the monster franchise it is bound to make.
According to Vulture, Kyle Chandler, known for "Bloodline" and "Friday Night Light"s will be boarding the second installment of "Godzilla". The character is said to be the father of Milly Bobby Brown, from "Stranger Things." The two are known for their appearances on television series and is now set to act on big screens. Further, there are thoughts that one of them maybe a sacrifice to make an emotional set up for the "Godzilla" film just like 2014 one wherein Juliette Binoche was killed to make way for Bryan Cranston's character advancement. It is also proven that director Michael Dougherty can be creative in sad endings such as in Krampus.
Slash Film reported that even though the film has cast some actors, the plot is still unrevealed to the mass. More, it is known that the cast of "Godzilla", Aaron Taylor- Johnson and Elizabeth Olsen are still alive in the last movie but their involvement in the upcoming film is still unknown. Nonetheless, Ken Watanabe is set to return as the Dr. Serizawa. Lastly, the film may also be tied up with the upcoming "Kong: Skull Island" which also introduces some kaiju level monsters and even make way for Godzilla and King Kong to meet. "Godzilla: King of Monsters" is slated for a March 22, 2019, release.
