Indeed, a bad news for the fans as they have waited for too long but going to take a half spoonful of the series. But Ed Sheeran is rumored to be in the series!
Rumors no more, reckoning about how many episodes will be there for the "Game of Thrones" Season 7 was already answered. On Sunday, during the SXSW, the showrunners D.B. Weiss and David Benioff confirmed that the final season of the popular HBO fantasy adventure series will only have six episodes.
Entertainment Weekly has reported that there will only be just half a dozen of an episodes in the upcoming "Game of Thrones" Season 7. Fans surely feel a little bit heartbroken and are dismayed over the show in its eight and last outing.
The showrunner, Benioff explained that the "Game of Thrones" Season 7 will only have six episodes for its final season. Though HBO does not officially confirm or announced yet the episodes tally for the Season 7 of the series. But it seems that Weiss and Benioff are already heads up about the figures given.
During the SXSW, the showrunners were joined by Sophie Turner - Sansa Stark, and Maisie Williams - Arya Stark, who also served as moderators for the panel. "Game of Thrones" Season 7 filming has already wrapped up and the showrunners shared that they're on the stage of processing the episodes next year.
As Benioff and Weiss shared that progress for next year's big finale, they did tease the fans with a big-name death. Benioff jokingly stated that they argue over who got to kill Sansa. Producers of "Game of Thrones" also give clarifications that there will be no spin-off, prequels, or sequels for the show after this next two-season run.
Meanwhile, producers also answered the question whose character they would bring if possible. They answered Catelyn Stark and Joffrey Baratheon, but the fans are eager to see Hodor again. Furthermore, Ed Sheeran's fans are delightful over the news that the actor is finally guesting in the "Game of Thrones" Season 7, Vanity Fair has reported.
For years, the showrunners revealed they're trying to get Ed Sheeran for the series to surprise Maisie Williams. Now, everyone is excited to see one of the final seasons of "Game of Thrones," and is set to return on July 16.
