Apple's New 10.5-inch iPad Pro Likely To Launch This Month
Apple is expected to launch their new products later this month, most likely on Monday, March 20 and Friday, March 24, according to reputable supply chain analysts who wish to remain anonymous. The analysts said the information is from its own sources and not based on other unauthorized reports.
According to Macrumors, the research firm did not disclose which products they expect Apple to announce, but rumors have widely suggested at least three new iPad Pro models will be unveiled as early as this month, including an all-new 10.5-inch model with slimmer bezels and updated 9.7-inch and 12.9-inch versions.
As per 9to5mac the new 10.5 inch iPad is expected to be almost the same physical size as the current 9.7 inch iPad Pro but will gain an extra 0.8 inches of diagonal screen space while losing the left and right bezels, as the product has been described as having an edge-to-edge display. The bezel-less iPad would somewhat presage one of the big rumors for the new iPhone 8 in the fall, which is also expected to feature a bezel-less design.
The report also suggests an upgraded 9.7 inch iPad and refreshed 12.9 inches iPad Pro are also expected to launch. As the new 9.7-inch tablet is likely meant as a cheaper offering in the lineup, Apple will pitch the 10.5 inch and 12.9 inch iPad as the mid-tier to high-end competitors in the tablet market.
Apple has already confirmed that its new campus named Apple Park will open for employees in April. But, the auditorium named Steve Jobs Theater is set to open later this year. At the MacBook Pro launch, Apple CEO Tim Cook announced that this is the last event being held in the company's existing campus.
The updated 12.9-inch iPad Pro is said to sport a 12-megapixel rear camera and True Tone display like the current 9.7-inches model, using advanced four-channel ambient light sensors to automatically adapt the color saturation and intensity of the display to match the light in the surrounding environment.
