Fujifilm X-Pro2 & X-T20: Updated Firmware With 33 Functional Features, Comes With Two Release Dates, Late March & May 2017
For over the years of developing its X-series, Fujifilm announced its new update of its firmware for the X-Pro2 and X-T20 that features 33 complimentary functional and operational updates across the two cameras. The update will come in two releasing dates, the first update will be released in late March and the second will be in the late May 2017.
According to Digital Trends, the updated sensor is now capable of handling a 4K video at 30pfs and the snapping will still at the five frames per seconds. The Fujifilm's popular films will also work with 4K video and also the still frames. The update also added ISO 125 and ISO 160, which is extended ISO levels.
For Fujifilm X-T20, the update allows the Command Dial's function to turn off to adjust the shutter speed by one-third to prevent any unintended adjustments. Moreover, the update also allows the user to use the Eye Sensor that will automatically switch between EVF and LCD during the video recording.
Moreover, ephotozine added that Fujifilm update its focus hunting in AF-C will be reduced to make the tracking subject easier. It also added a smaller size of Single Point AF that will bring the available size to six. For changing the position of the focus frame, the users will be able to enlarge the focus frame by choosing either AF-S mode or in the Manual Focus.
In a video recording, a half-press of the Shutter Release button or the assigned to "AF-ON" during the recording will also do the autofocus. The Fujifilm updates also allow the user to register the name and the copyright name of the photographer in advance, as it automatically adds the information for each image.
In addition, the user can shoot without a card by turning OFF the "Shoot Without Card" mode. Fujifilm also announced its new X-series with the 50mm prime lens, the Fujinon XF 50mm f/2 R WR. A compact prime that weighs seven ounces that use an inner focusing system for quick and quiet autofocus.
