Johnny Depp Stars In 'King of the Jungle' Based On Accused Murdered Cyber Security Expert John McAfee
"King of the Jungle" is a movie based off on cyber security expert and businessman, John McAfee and Johnny Depp will play him. The real McAfee was actually questioned (or attempted) for a murder in Belize and the movie will chronicle that time in his life.
In "King of the Jungle," Johnny Depp will portray what happened when the real McAfee went to Belize with a Wired writer. IGN reports that the movie will be dark and recount McAfee's life which is rife with drugs, sex and murder.
There is no word yet on who will co-star beside Johnny Depp in "King of the Jungle." The movie is written by Larry Karaszewski and Scott Alexander and directed by John Requa and Glenn Ficarra. There is no word about the release date of the film as well.
According to Business Insider, the cyber security expert and anti-virus magnate John McAfee was actually brought in questioning for a murder that happened in Belize. The outlet reports that McAfee states that Belize is one of the most corrupt countries in the world. In fact, the officials running the government are aware of the rampant money laundering, drug trade and even human trafficking.
McAfee adds that he has chosen the country as his retirement location but decided to run a good and honest business in it. He quickly realized that with corrupt officials in the government, he would be extorted for bribes.
The cyber security savant would not relent and so he found an assassination plot for him. It led to his dog being shot in the head and the murder of his neighbor. While he was never charged despite several false charges and so the government attempted to bring him in for questioning. McAfee fleed Belize to Guatemala and fought to be returned to the US.
