'Attack on Titans' Season 2 Will Be Streaming On Crunchyroll & Funimation Starting April 21; Blu-ray Disc & DVD Will Consist of 12 Episodes
After four long years, "Attack on Titan" Season 2 will officially be streaming on Crunchyroll and fans obviously couldn't keep their excitement as they have waited for this moment. The season 2 of the anime will be premiere this April 1 in Japan and April 21 on different networks, however, North America premiere hasn't been revealed.
Fans waited patiently for "Attack on Titan" Season 2 and it has come. Crunchyroll and Funimation both confirmed that they will be streaming the anime series on April 21, they will be starting to simulcast the first episode which features the fall of Wall Rose, Comic Book has reported.
In the "Attack on Titan" Season 2 Episode 1, Eren Jaeger will become someone he hates the most as he tries to eliminate every last titan lives. Together with his new power acquired, he will continue fighting and defend his home and for humanity's freedom. A horde of titans is coming into the Wall Rose after Eren rested for defeating the Female Titan.
Questions arise, is breaching the Wall Rose will reveal allies? Or is it the total annihilation of humanity imminent? Though Eren will be playing part in humanity's defense, according to Yuki Kaji, the voice actor of the protagonist stated that he will not be playing much of roles compared to comrades in "Attack on Titan" Season 2.
He claimed that Eren will still be the protagonist in "Attack on Titan" Season 2 but another character might also get the spotlight. He further hinted that their drama will be the backbone of the story. Meanwhile, Masashi Koizuka is the new director on board for the anime series and revealed that Krista and Ymir will get the spotlight in this season.
Eren's journey together with his comrades continues in "Attack on Titan" Season 2. Furthermore, Anime News Network has reported that the anime is planning for a two Blu-ray Disc and DVD sets. Each set will consist of sex episodes that have a total of 12 episodes.
First DVD and Blu-ray Disc will first ship on June 21 in Japan and will include VR goggles. The second DVD and Blu-ray Disc will be shipping to Japan on August 18 which both releases will be equipped with a VR movie.
