Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Could Face Tax and Financial Issues in America
As Prince Harry, along with his wife, the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle dissociated themselves from the royal family, and found themselves wondering how their life would turn out and how would they handle it.
Of course it's not just them that are curious about what lies ahead, but also the people who keep up with their lives.
The couple decided to leave since they were violently attacked and pestered by some shady people from the press.
Few people and associations that worked for and with them started not to support them as they do not belong in the British royal family anymore. Canada said that they will no longer accommodate the couple's security whenever they plan to travel and visit their country.
The Sovereign Grant has also cut ties with them since they only accommodate members from royal families. They won't be able to live the same comfortable and luxurious life anymore, especially when they visit other countries.
As we witnessed the couple's cutting their ties with the royal family, it just proves that things could get difficult in every aspect quickly.
It was reported that Meghan is still a U.S. citizen even though she espoused into the royals. Applying for U.K. citizenship could take a long time before it gets approved. Even though she is still a U.S. citizen, the government still obliges her to file tax returns no matter where she resides in the world and would also require her to pay higher taxes whenever her income increases, regardless of her job and company.
Showbiz Cheat Sheet was reported by Nathan Rigney about the issue. He said that things could get complicated and confusing because whenever a person tries to change his or her life, he or she believes that it's going to lead them to an easier and simpler situation. He added that it won't be the case when it comes to the perspective of the tax world.
Prince Harry and Meghan's still have their hopes up because of Archie, their son. They want to keep Archie away from the harassment and evil they have experienced. They wished for a simple life for him.
Archie would still be able to live a comfortable life as he would still be given gifts and support from the royal family. Since he is still a child with no income, members of the royal family could still be eligible to give stocks or assets legally to Archie. The couple won't be able to benefit from it though.
Rigney suggests that Canada or the United States would be a better choice especially if you're going to look through the financial perspective. He said that they would benefit better and receive lesser negatives if they decide to reside in either of these countries.
The couple is planning to hire people who will sort out their financial and tax problems since they still have a lot of money. It is also difficult if they won't be able to sort these problems because they could suffer a lot in the long run.
