Some gamers have predicted that the highly demanded PC, Sony PlayStation 4 and Microsoft Xbox One versions of Grand Theft Auto V will be announced at the E3 Electronic Entertainment Expo, held at the Los Angeles Convention center June 10-12. Now, some are saying that an unlikely competitor makes this prediction even more likely.

Ubisoft's Watch Dogs, which was released on May 27, has been compared to Grand Theft Auto V a lot because of its similar gun-shooting, law-breaking, mayhem-creating themes. The game has one up one Grand Theft Auto V, however, because it is already available on PS4 and Xbox One (as well as PS3 and Xbox 360), unlike the Rockstar Games game.

According to some gamers, this competition could encourage a very special Grand Theft Auto announcement to come at E3.

"Ubisoft is still slowly scoring new records with [Watch Dogs]. This is apparently because Watch Dogs is not into a strong brawl with some other next-gen open world action adventure title, and only something like next-gen version of GTA V for latest consoles and PC can stiff the competition," WCCFtech said. "If Rockstar really has something in store for next-gen video games library, this might be a really good time for bringing it on the stage. Talking business-wise, producing new format of a game that ranks among largest selling titles of all time is nothing less than a smart move, and when you have an anxious audience numbering in millions, sales will shoot up like anything."

Meanwhile, some Grand Theft Auto Online players hope E3 will bring a different Los Santos development: the Heists update that Rockstar Games promised would arrive in this spring.

"We have spotted ... three potential but speculated GTA V Heists release dates. The first is Tuesday June 10, which is the week of E3. The next date is June 17 or the final date is June 20 ... which is the last day of spring officially," Product-Reviews Net said.

It looks like people are expecting a lot of Grand Theft Auto V news this month. What do you think, gamers? Will Grand Theft Auto players be disappointed? Or will they finally get the updates they've been craving? Comment below and share your thoughts.
