Latino community is the largest minority group in the U.S.

They are comprised of more than 32 million and is followed by the African-Americans who are comprised of 30 million, according to the U.S. Census Bureau.

However, the global pandemic has badly hit the hardest majority of the Latinos and Hispanics living in the country.

This led many to be laid-off or furloughed from their jobs.

Meanwhile, the undocumented remained not receiving any stimulus or financial support due to their status.

It is then very important that members of the Latino and Hispanic community should know eight organizations in the country that help the community amid the global pandemic.

Here are the lists of organizations:

1. Hispanic Heritage Foundation

  • It is very important to connect Latinos and Hispanics to their leaders amid the global pandemic. The Hispanic Heritage Foundation is a non-profit organization that " identifies, inspires, prepares, and connects Latino Leaders in the community, classroom, and workforce." Most of all, they serve as a bridge between young Latino students who are soon to be professionals, the community, and the workforce.

2. United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce

  • It is undeniable that the global pandemic has forced many Latinos and Hispanics to be furloughed or laid off from their jobs. However, it is also undeniable that Hispanic and Latino-owned businesses in the country are growing fast. The USHCC is comprised of 4.37 million businesses owned by Latinos and Hispanics. This means that the organization could be a bridge to help the unemployed Latinos and Hispanics today.

3. The Committee for Hispanic Families and Children

  • This is a non-profit organization that aims to support the learning and the continuum of education of Hispanic and Latino Youth. The CHFC focuses on early care, youth development, community engagement, policy, and advocacy. This is very timely because many Hispanic and Latino families are struggling to face the educational challenges today due to the global pandemic.

4. The National Hispanic Institute

  • The NHI is an educational organization that fosters future community leaders from the Latino and Hispanic communities both in the U.S. and Latin America. The organization focuses on high school students with the intent to pursue a career in higher education and has the potential to become a community leader.

5. United We Dream

  • The United We Dream is the country's largest immigrant youth-led in the country that gives assistance to the undocumented immigrants in the U.S. At present, the organization has helped more than four million and has 400,000 members across the country.

6. National Association for Hispanic Elderly

  • The organization has helped the Hispanic and Latino elderly in the country for over 36 years. The organization offers economic development programs, health education, employment, training, and including assistance in housing. As of today, the organization has provided more than 60,000 paid jobs for Hispanic and Latino elderlies.

There are many local and national organizations that support and help members of the Latino and Hispanic communities in the country.

In this time of the global pandemic, it is very important to get connected with the organization that best suit one's needs.
