Another member of the African-American community was shot and killed. The local Black Lives Matter group identified the man, who was killed, as Dijon Kizzee. Following this, a protest erupts in the place where the shooting incident happened.

According to the sheriff's department, Kizee was riding his bike in the Westmont area of South Los Angeles, when the police officers tried to stop him for "code violations related to his bike riding."

However, Kizzee fled the area, and a fight ensued when the police officers caught him.

In a recently published report in FOX News, Kizzee allegedly punched a police officer in the face, dropped the clothes he was holding, and a gun was found out inside it. The police officer then opened fire, striking the Black man.

Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Lt. Brandon Dean said in a press conference: "Our suspect was holding some clothing items in his hands, punched one of the officers in the face and then dropped the items in his hands."

"The deputies noticed that inside the clothing items he dropped was a black semiautomatic handgun. At which time a deputy-involved shooting occurred," he added.

Meanwhile, the police officer's identity has yet to be revealed as the investigation is still ongoing. This incident adds up to other police-related shooting and killing incidents.

It can be remembered that previous shooting incidents that involved police officers and members of the African-American community led to different protests across the country, demanding justice.

It has also caught the attention of celebrities and other famous personalities who joined the African-American community in asking for justice. Some have even called to defund police departments.
