Dr Dre won a legal battle against his estranged wife Nicole Young after a judge denied her request for $6 million in living expenses from the rapper-producer.

Nicole Young's lawyers argued that Young needs protection after receiving death threats after splitting up from Dr Dre.

Young reportedly asked the court that Dre be demanded to pay $5 million for Young's expenses for lawyers and $1.5 million in support to other costs, including security, as per MIRROR.

The judge turned down Nicole's request for $6 million for legal and living expenses, according to TMZ. Her team claims that she has received death threats since she broke-up with Dre and allegedly needs protection.

On Thursday, a judge dismissed the claim because Young scrapped her previous security team that Dre provided. Young shares that Dre was "too controlling" the staff and Young wants to choose her own employees.

Meanwhile, Laura Wasser, the hip-hop mogul's lawyer, told the judge that Dre is willing to pay for his ex-wife's expenses, including security. But the judge responded that Young could choose a private company for her personal protection which the cost would not exceed to what Dre is willing to pay.

Nicole's lawyers then requested for the hearing that will discuss Dre's $5 million payment to be moved from January to this month. The judge also denied the request.

The former couple's split has been well-documented, with the latest ruling that favours Dr Dre's team, as per The Sun. It was reported that in September, Nicole young is seeking $2 million monthly spousal support.

Nicole has also accused Dre of hiding valuable assets after their split, including trademarks for Dre's stage name and "The Chronic" album, TMZ reported. Sources close to the rapper-producer told the TMZ outlet that Nicole's claim is "ridiculous" and would embarrass him.

The sources told TMZ, "They were married in 1996. Chronic came out in '92, and Dr Dre used his name since the '80s, so it's all his and his alone."

On the other hand, Nicole Young responded by calling Dr Dre' move an "epic fail and reveals the true nature of Dre's character, or lack thereof." As the legal battle rumbled on, Dre revealed that Nicole "decimated" his bank account to steal $363K from his company.

After 24 years of marriage, Nicole Young filed for divorce from Dre in June after citing 'irreconcilable differences'.Since March, the pair who had two children had been living apart.

Dr Dre, or also known as Andre Romelle Young, is the fourth wealthiest rapper worldwide. He is behind Kanye West, Jay Z and Sean' P Diddy' Combs. His estimated worth is $800 million after selling Beats by Dr Dre brand to Apple company as well as his music and production back catalogue.
