For soccer fans, it doesn't get any better than this. The 32 best soccer nations in the world will battle it out to be called the greatest of all. This weekend features can't miss games.

Saturday

Japan (46) Vs. Ivory Coast (23)

9 p.m. EST ESPN

What an interesting matchup fans get Saturday night. One of Asia's very best against one of Africa's finest. Japan is managed by Alberto Zaccheroni, and they are trying to make it past group play for the fifth consecutive World Cup. Don't let the No. 46 ranking fool you. Ivory Coast is a young team that has a powerful defensive unit led by Didier Zokora. A great offense against a great defense, what more could soccer fans ask for on a Sunday night?

This game will be played at the Arena Pernambuco in Recife.

Sunday

Switzerland (6) Vs. Ecuador (26)

Noon EST ABC

These two countries have never faced each other in the World Cup, so this will be very intriguing. Switzerland is by far one of the youngest teams in this year's World Cup tournament. German Ottmar Hitzfeld chose to go with speed rather than experience. Gokhan Inler is the captain and will be playing in his second World Cup. Ecuador is looking to right the wrong since they did not qualify for the last World Cup, and Edison Mendez is the guy to watch. Their goaltending is questionable, however. Switzerland may be favored, but can they handle the heat?

This game will be played at the Estadio Nacional in Brasilia.

France (17) Vs. Honduras (33)

3 p.m. EST ABC

Another Group E game that will have huge implications. These two nations aren't viewed as elite, but they're here to spoil the party for others and prove everyone else wrong. This year's French squad doesn't pack a powerful punch, but it is full of young players like their captain goalkeeper Hugo Lloris. Honduras will be competing in just their third World Cup ever, and it's the defense that will make or break this team. They're led by Colombian coach Luis Suárez.

This game will be played at the Estádio Beira Rio in Porto Alegre.

Argentina (5) Vs Bosnia and Herzegovina (21)

6 p.m. EST ESPN

Group F kicks off with a pair of teams with very different backgrounds. Argentina has won two World Cups and has qualified for every World Cup since 1974. Bosnia on the other hand has never been successful at the big stage. Argentina has a very balanced team (as usual), and the offense is led by Javier Mascherano. Argentina is huge favorites to come out as the victors against team Bosnia, but as Spain/Netherlands taught us, we can't take anything for granted. Iran and Nigeria will be watching closely since they also play in Group F.

This game will be played at the Estádio Maracanâ in Rio de Janeiro.
