The Los Angeles Lakers has now acquired another player who will help them in the Championship Finals again. Marc Gasol will join the Los Angeles Lakers according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski and Zach Lowe. This became trending online, as many fans were excited.

To acquire Marc Gasol and offer him a good salary cap, the Los Angeles Lakers traded its center JaVale McGee to the Cleveland Cavaliers.

It is not clear how much they offered to Marc Gasol but the contract will last until two seasons.

According to CBS Sports, the Los Angeles Lakers will also receive Jordan Bell and Alfonzo McKinnie in that deal, but both have waivable non-guaranteed deals. This bow gives the team the biggest potential to make it in the finals.

It is now assumed that Marc Gasol will replace the role of JaVale McGee as the starting center of the Los Angeles Lakers.

He is expected to provide a meaningful upgrade in the role that best fits with the team's star players Lebron James and Anthony Davis.

During the previous season, spacing was a serious problem in the starting five of the team.

Though McGee's height and skills were quite dominant, they always have problems when it comes to inside plays. That is the reason why they put Dwight Howard in the starting five during the Finals.

Gasol's impressive record

Meanwhile, Gasol does not only have a height advantage but his skills are also important to consider.

Last season, he shot 38.5 percent from behind the arc and he is also one of the best defensive players in the league. And even though he is no longer young, there is no sign that his mobility is slowing down.

Marc Gasol's basketball IQ in terms of passing skill is perfectly matched with Lebron James. This season will really be very exciting because other NBA teams also acquired star players to make them super teams. But Los Angeles Lakers is the team they need to beat this season.

Even though Marc Gasol was drafted by Los Angeles Lakers in 2005, he never played with the team because he was immediately traded to Memphis in exchange for his brother Pau Gasol.

Pau Gasol could have returned to the Los Angeles Lakers and offer him a minimum salary cap.

He won two championships with the Los Angeles Lakers and his brother Marc Gasol is expected to replicate the feat.

While Los Angeles Lakers have acquired players that will potentially help them in the finals, the Raptors on the other hand lost two of their top two big men.

The only way left for the Toronto Raptors to stop the bleeding is by signing the best remaining big man on the market Aaron Baynes to a two-year deal.
