Thalia Instagram 2014: Singer Criticized After Posting Half-Naked Picture With Mexican Flag [Pics]
Thalia has been having some fun on Instagram, especially with the World Cup.
The has continued to post pictures of her head Photoshopped onto other women's bodies all in the name of fun. But it seems her latest Photoshop creation was too much for some. In the picture, Thalia is half naked and wrapped in the Mexican flag. The accompanying caption featured her voicing her support for the soccer team.
One user said, "It doesn't make sense that as a Mexican you would use the flag in your photos. You are beautiful and everything and are also Mexican, and you know that using patriotic symbols [in this way] is an offense to the nation."
Another Instagram user added, "The truth is that I adore you, but what you did with the Mexican flag is disrespectful."
Not everyone was so quick to put down the singer-actress.
One fan said, "You're all good to judge!!! Every person shows love for his or her country as they wish!!! Idiots make everything into a bigger deal!!!"
Meanwhile, others commented that they think the whole situation has been blown out of proportion just because Thalia is famous.
Earlier this week, Thalia Photoshopped her face onto the body of a woman wearing a cropped Mexico jersey and hot pants. The picture marked the first day of the World Cup, and Thalia said it was a special day.
This picture may be fun-spirited, but it's not quite as funny as the ones the singer usually shares. In the past, Thalia Photoshopped her face onto a woman's body with wings and holding a dog. She used it as a way to wish her followers a good night.
She said, "Gnight loves! Thanks for sharing this day with me."
Thalia has even used the classic "Wizard of Oz," on Instgram byPhotoshopping her head onto Judy Garland's body and telling her followers that it's important to laugh.
Do you think Thalia's being wrapped in the Mexican flag is disrespectful? Comment below, and share your opinion.
