Trump Camp Hits Back at House Impeachment Managers, Claims They Too Have Used ‘Fight Like Hell’ Rhetoric
The camp of former President Donald Trump is firing back at the House Democrat impeachment managers by reviving past instances of them, and President Joe Biden using the phrase "fight like hell."
The impeachment managers spent hours on Wednesday convincing the senators to convict Donald Trump for inciting the insurrection on Capitol Hill last month.
Their argument focused on Trump's rhetoric. They included the "fight" or "fight like hell" that he told his supporters on the National Mall shortly before the Jan. 6 riot on the Capitol, according to a Fox News report.
However, the Trump team turned the tables on the Democrats by digging up instances where they used the same words.
One tweet from the "Trump War Room" account pointed to a "FLASHBACK" of Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-Md.), who said in September 2020 that he'd "fight like hell" to stop the assault on the Constitution.
Raskin told this amid Republican efforts to swiftly replace the late Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg following her death, the New York Post reported. Raskin is the lead House impeachment manager.
Trump camp also tweeted a 2019 Atlantic magazine interview, wherein Raskin said of Trump's presidency to "hope for the best, be prepared for the worst, and go fight like hell for the Constitution."
In 2017, Raskin also said to "fight" for "our Democracy," as he called for an investigation into Donald Trump's alleged ties to Russia.

More Unearthed 'Fight Like Hell' Tweets From the Trump War Room
The Trump team also revived a pair of 2017 tweets in which House manager Ted Lieu (D-Calif.) appeared to dismiss former First Lady Michelle Obama's famous catchphrase of, "When they go low, we go high."
"I like that. But I like better, 'when they go low, we fight back,'" Lieu noted in one.
House manager Joe Neguse (D-Colo.) was also called out for a tweet from April 2018, touting the endorsement of then-Senator Kamala Harris.
Neguse, who has been widely praised as the breakout star of the impeachment trial, said he was truly humbled to have the support of such a fearless leader "as we fight to take back Congress."
Rep. Eric Swalwell was also cited for his comments during a 2019 interview when he also used the phrase "fight like hell" to make sure the Americans saw Robert Mueller's report, The Sun reported.
GOP members of the House Judiciary Committee also tweeted a screengrab of then-candidate Biden, who said in May that he had spent his whole career "fighting - and I will continue to fight - like hell so that no one ever has to make that walk again."
Biden was reportedly tackling how his father walked upstairs to bring the news that they had to move to Delaware so he could make a living.
The Trump War Room is one of the last remaining Twitter accounts affiliated with Donald Trump.
House Impeachment Managers to Show New Footage of Capitol Riot
On Wednesday, the impeachment managers will show unseen footage of the Jan. 6 riot as they start their case for impeaching the former president. However, according to a Daily Mail report, they did not say what the new footage was or whether it came from the Capitol Police or Washington D.C's Metropolitan Police.
A senior aide on the House impeachment team said the video would show the extent of the violence that happened in the Capitol and the threat the rioters posed to everyone.
The aide further noted it would also show the extent of what Donald Trump "unleashed" on the Capitol and just how close the mob came to members of Congress, senators, and staff.
