Not often does the photo of a criminal goes viral, but that is what happened yesterday when the Stockton Police Department posted the photo of an arrested felon on their Facebook page.

Jeremy Meeks was arrested with three others in a joint sweep by the Stockton anti-gang unit, the FBI, U.S. Marshals Task Force, and other agencies in what was known as Operation Ceasefire. The security officers' coalition came together in an attempt to curb the rising number of shootings in the area. According to police, Meeks, 30, was arrested on five weapons charges and one gang charge.

When the men were arrested, the police found four firearms, including two rifles, a handgun and a shotgun. Local news station Fox 40 reported that the other three arrested were 22-year-old Terry Bailey, 18-year-old Jurzi Coleman and 44-year-old Joelin Coleman, all on felony weapon charges.

However, only Meeks has received the most attention from the Internet with his mug shot going viral. Despite a teardrop tattoo under his left eye and tattoos on his neck, Meeks has drawn attention from people praising his high cheekbones, chiseled face, full lips and striking blue eyes.

The 30-year-old convicted felon has drawn a lot of attention on Facebook. The photo, as of now, has been shared more than 6,000 times, has more than 56,000 "likes" and more than 16,000 comments, many praising Meeks' beauty. However, his beauty is merely superficial. Stockton Police Officer Joseph Silva called him "one of the most violent criminals in the Stockton area" and is being held on a $900,000 bond.

One Facebook commenter said Meeks is "sexy and dangerous... dude could be a model..."

On Wednesday Meeks and his accomplices were booked into San Joaquin County Jail, when the mug shot was taken. A flood of comments praising Meeks' appearance overcame the Stockton Police Facebook page; however, some also started disapproving of many of the comments because, on the same page, there are photos in memoriam of a fallen officer, Scott Hewell.
