Supermodel Kate Moss is set to take the stand in the Johnny Depp and Amber Herd's bombshell defamation trial.

A source close to Depp told Fox News that Moss will appear in the court on Wednesday and give clarity to the staircase rumor involving her and the "Pirates of the Caribbean" actor.

The insider added that Moss is expected to appear and testify through a video link.

Depp and Moss became a couple in the 90s. The source noted that the two remained good friends ever since.

Amber Heard Mentions Kate Moss Stairs Incident

The supermodel was dragged into the defamation trial between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard when the actress discussed an alleged altercation between her sister, Whitney Henriquez, and the actor, according to People.

"[Whitney's] back was to the staircase, and Johnny swings at her... I don't hesitate, I don't wait - I just, in my head, instantly think of Kate Moss and stairs," Heard said during her testimony.

Heard then added that Depp did not push her sister down the stairs. However, Henriquez claimed that the actor once hit her and then "repeated" struck Heard. Heard was reportedly defending her sister in the incident.

Depp's attorney, Ben Chew, reportedly opened his mouth widely and turned to his team for a fist bump when Heard mentioned Moss.

Johnny Depp's Hand Injury May Not Be From a Thrown Bottle - Surgeon

Dr. Richard Moore, a hand surgeon, testified on Monday, claiming that Johnny Depp could not have lost the tip of his middle finger like the way he told jurors when he was on the stand, CBS News reported.

According to Moore, who did not treat the actor, the description of Depp with his palm down on the bar would make the fingernail exposed when the bottle was thrown at him. The surgeon furthered that the nail would have been damaged in the aftermath of the incident, and there would have been other cuts in his hand from the glass that shattered upon impact.

It can be recalled that the finger injury Depp sustained in March 2015 in Australia became one of the key points of dispute in the lawsuit.

A psychiatrist also testified on Monday, claiming that Depp's behavior fits the pattern of a person whose drug and alcohol abuse contributes to domestic violence.

However, the claims of the psychiatrist were questioned by Depp's camp, claiming that the expert never conducted an examination on the actor.

Amber Heard and Johnny Depp are battling over a 2018 op-ed the actress penned, claiming that she was a victim of domestic violence.

Depp claimed the article booted him to some of his movies even though he was not mentioned in the piece.

Johnny Depp is asking for $50 million in damages. Meanwhile, Amber Heard filed a countersuit amounting to $100 million for nuisance and for calling her abuse allegations a hoax.
