Florida Man Confesses to Cutting Wife's Throat and Playing Her Favorite Music as She Dies
A Florida man has been charged with first-degree murder after he made a gruesome confession of killing his wife while playing her favorite music.
According to the Altamonte Springs Police Department, Xichen Yang, 21, was also charged with tampering with evidence in the murder of Nhu Quynh Pham, who was in her early 20s.
Yang allegedly told police that he cut Pham's throat with a knife, placed her in a bathtub, and lined up her favorite songs as he held her hand while she bled to death, The Daily Beast reported.
According to Crime Online, Altamonte police responded to the scene and found Pham in a pool of blood in the apartment's bathroom, with her throat slashed. Investigators also found disinfectant and rubber gloves, which seemed to imply that Yang was cleaning up the scene.
The police department noted that the Florida man was not at home when the officers arrived. However, he was quickly located and taken into custody without an untoward incident on Tuesday.

According to a police report, Xichen Yang admitted that he slashed Pham's throat, and then she started crawling away. So the Florida man decided to put her in the bathtub, put on her favorite music, and hold her hand until she died.
Yang told the police officers that he could have held back and decided not to kill his wife. However, the Florida man said that's "not how he was raised," adding that he always "goes all the way."
According to the arrest report, Yang's employer told investigators that he called the Florida man when he did not show up for work.
The employer berated Yang for being irresponsible, and the suspect told him that he'd done "unspeakable" things and had killed his wife because she burned his passport.
The witness also told the cops that Yang also said he had used a knife on Pham's throat.
The Florida man also admitted over the phone in the initial call that he was "attempting to clean up the evidence," according to WESH News.
Yang was reportedly taken to the Seminole County Jail with no bond. According to jail records, he is set to appear before a judge on Wednesday afternoon.
However, the court appearance was delayed a day. Yang's booking information indicated that he was hospitalized, but no injuries to him were mentioned in the arrest report.
