Earlier this month, we learned Warner Bros. Studios was not only planning a Justice League film to continue the story from the upcoming "Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice" film, but also that a slate of DC Comics heroes would follow the release to star in their own big-screen adaptations as well.

Superhero Hype reported that Shazam!, Wonder Woman and Sandman would appear in their own standalone films as well as a Flash/Green Lantern team-up movie, all to be released between 2016 and 2018.

Now, we also know that fanboys can expect the Caped Crusader to get his own standalone film in 2019, with the working title of "The Batman," the Latino-Review reported.

Ben Affleck will reportedly reprise his role as the billionaire playboy, philanthropist and crime fighter.

Affleck is scheduled to play Bruce Wayne/Batman in the Justice League film and the highly anticipated Batman/Superman team-up film in 2016, which will also feature Wonder Woman played (Gal Gadot).

The time window for production on the three upcoming films allows for Affleck to work on his next film, "Live By Night," in which he will star, write and direct in the summer of 2015 with a release date of Oct. 7, 2016, according to Superhero Hype.

While production for "Dawn of Justice" is well under way, the rumor mill is in full swing; JoBlo reported earlier this week that Gadot's Wonder Woman costume would remain true to the comic books.

Sources close to the film have reportedly said that the costume is "traditional, yet sleeker" than the original and "battle ready." Gadot is rumored to sport a blue leather skirt, silver-armored cuffs that go to her elbows, a golden tiara and a variation of the character's traditional red top.

Gadot is also rumored to be equipped with Wonder Woman's well-known lasso of truth, a sword, spear and a shield. Furthermore, Gadot will be introduced as Diana first before making her debut as the Amazonian warrior princess where she teams up with Superman and Batman.

Henry Cavill will reprise his role as the Man of Steel along with other returning cast members Diane Lane, Amy Adams and Laurence Fishburne. Jesse Eisenberg, Ray Fisher and Jeremy Irons join Affleck and Gadot as newcomers to the franchise.

The film will be released May 6, 2016 with Zack Snyder returning as director.
