Casey Affleck was not in Georgia to see his brother Ben Affleck marry Jennifer Lopez over the weekend.

According to TMZ, Casey skipped his brother's wedding for an ice cream date with his girlfriend, Caylee Cowan. The two were spotted at Van Leeuwen Ice Cream at Los Feliz in Los Angeles, California on Saturday, while Ben and Jennifer were celebrating their marriage with family and friends.

Before Casey grabbed an ice-cold treat with the actress, the actor also went on a morning run in a Starbucks, where a paparazzi saw him and asked why he was not at his brother's wedding.

The actor uttered some unclear words, and the pap claimed he heard the phrase "I overslept" from the actor. When he asked Casey Affleck again to confirm his answer, Casey Affleck remained mum as he seemed unwilling to give details of his absence at his brother's wedding, Marca reported.

Casey Affleck Welcomes Jennifer Lopez to Family After Georgia Wedding

Casey Affleck welcomed his sister-in-law, Jennifer Lopez, to their family after their Georgia wedding. Casey took to Instagram to welcome Lopez to their family. He posted a photo of him with his brother and sister-in-law during their younger years.

"Good things are worth waiting for. Here is to twists and turns, new beginnings, and finding new reservoirs of old love. Welcome to the family. Get ready for some real dysfunction! Kidding. I am kidding. Jen, you are a gem. We love you so much!!!" Casey wrote in his caption.

Days leading up to the wedding, Casey Affleck had reportedly spent telegraphing that he was not going to be at the big event. The actor also said in a social media post that he was sending his child off to college. 

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez's Wedding in Georgia

Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck had their second wedding at the actor's estate in Riceboro, Georgia on Saturday. The celebration was more glamorous than their first wedding at a Las Vegas drive-through chapel on July 16. 

Casey Affleck did not also make it to the first private wedding. The three-day wedding celebration in Georgia reportedly kicked off with a rehearsal dinner on Friday. The couple then tied the knot on Saturday in front of family and celebrity friends before a barbecue on Sunday.

Reports said the wedding was planned and organized by luxury event planner Colin Cowie, whose company reportedly charges between $250,000 and $25 million. Photos showed that Jennifer Lopez was dressed in a traditional wedding gown with a 20-foot-long train designed by Ralph Lauren.

Among the attendees were some Hollywood personalities, such as actor Matt Damon and his wife Luciana Barroso, as well as filmmaker Kevin Smith and his wife, Jennifer Schwalbach.

Also in attendance were Jennifer Lopez's twins, Emme and Maximilian: and Ben Affleck's three children, Violet Anne, Seraphina Rose, and Samuel.
