Jenni Rivera New Album Update: Record Set for July 1st Release, Family to Produce Documentary to Honor Her Life
Jenni Rivera's family continues to find ways to honor her.
Currently, they are working on a documentary about her life, according to her brother Juan Rivera, La Opinion reported. There will be unedited scenes that will help tell her story.
"It's interviews with my mom, my dad, my five nephew (her children) and Rosy (her singer), it's eight of us," Juan Rivera said.
The documentary will also feature images and photos that cover her career trajectory, some of which have never before been seen. For example, her first concert at Ford Theater in 2003.
Her next album, which also comes with a DVD, will be released on July 1. The album "1969 - Siempre, En Vivo Desde Monterrey Parte 2" has 12 more songs that she performed at her last concert on Dec. 9, 2012. It was just a mere hours before her accident.
Her family has recently been very active on its Rivera Exclusiva social media pages. They have been sharing intimate videos and honoring the "Diva de la Banda."
One of the family's last post was a plea to fans.
"Fans! For a birthday gift to our DIVA we need to get her new song RESULTA to #1 on radio stations," the post said. "Ask for it at your favorite station."
One of the other videos they shared was a bit of her performing at her last concert.
"It's only 15 seconds. It's all IG permits, but we want to share a moment that for us is invaluable. Little by little, we'll give you more from this night. Just be calm."
One of the sweetest moments shared was one between Rivera and her son. She carried him and asked him who was the king of the world, and he replied that he was.
