Power Rangers-Themed Restaurant Staff in California Turned Into Real-Life Superheroes After Saving Woman From Attacker
Staff at NōKA Ramen in California dressed in Power Rangers costumes turned into real-life superheroes after a woman needing help entered the restaurant Friday night.
A Twitter user posted a thread about how the terrifying ordeal went down. According to People, the personnel at NōKA Ramen were all suited out in superhero costumes because the restaurant offers a drink called "The Noka Rangers."
The user's initial tweet: "The craziest thing just happened at dinner. I'm at a ramen shop owned by Thai people in Oakland dressed as power rangers, when a woman comes rushing in saying she wasn't safe - and a man came running in after her and puts her in a chokehold."
According to the tweet, when the woman said she was unsafe and did not want to go home with that man, the manager in a Black Ranger costume and the "yellow ranger told the man to leave."
However, the man swung at them, and "this is when all rangers yelled, 'Huey!'" the social media user said. According to the tweet, the Yellow Ranger blocked the man's punch as the employees told the woman to hide in the kitchen.
The Yellow Ranger stepped in again, took the man by the collar, and escorted him out of the building as the man started to use racial insults and attempted to pursue the woman into the kitchen.
The Twitter user said they tried to call the cops, and many restaurant customers were shaking and crying. Then, Pink Ranger, the hostess, stepped in and told the customers their food was "free."
According to the tweet, the man continued his rampage by throwing salt and pepper shakers, baby stools, and chairs at the window. The man returned with another person, but the staff got together and managed to lock the two men out until the police arrived at the California restaurant.
"I thank all the rangers for their time... the food at Noka Ramen was excellent," the Twitter user concluded.

"Our NōKA Rangers were real-life heroes last night when an incident occurred," the caption said.
"Like our heroic namesakes, it's not just the powers and costumes that give us strength. It's who and what we are inside that empowers us," it added.
According to Today, the message lauded the brave employees and assured clients that the turmoil was "an anomaly."
"The safety of our guests and employees is of utmost importance to us. We are fully cooperating with the police in identifying the individual involved," the post concluded.
The Power Rangers
Based on the Japanese "Super Sentai," Power Rangers is a U.S. entertainment and merchandising franchise built around a live-action superhero TV series.
Hasbro Inc., the world's largest toymaker, currently owns the Power Rangers and is working on making a shared universe. The show is now exclusively made for Netflix, and right before the COVID-19 pandemic, there was talk of making another film that features time traveling.
Although the franchise remains extremely popular among toymakers, it is unknown when this will happen. People of a certain age who grew up with the franchise remain fascinated with it.
That is why NōKA Ramen in California had its staff dress up like the famous characters, and this story of these waiters' kicking ass connected with so many Power Rangers fans, Cinemablend reported.
